FIRST STRIKE is a fast-paced real-time strategy game which makes dropping the big one as easy as ABC. But be sure to take the right measures to guarantee your people’s safety. Pick one of the big nuclear players – from known superpowers like the USA to an upstart hellraiser like North Korea – and plan your strategy wisely: Expand to other countries, build bombs or dismantle in order to restructure your arsenal. Or use research to gain access to new nuclear technology, better recon intel, automated self-defense-sequences and many more. Whether you’re a bloodthirsty warmonger or a tree-hugging hippie – it’s time to put your cards on the table. First Strike shows you how little it takes to heat things up. You control the destiny of the precious and vulnerable rock floating through space, the rock we call mothership Earth. And now with MULTIPLAYER! Up to 10 players can play against opponents from all over the world and nuke the earth into nuclear Armageddon TOGETHER! Show the world your skills as the ultimate nuclear commander and enjoy the iconic nuclear war RTS experience with your friends and other First Strike fans! Now the question is, will you be the one remaining when the whole world blows to smithereens?

History

First launched in 2014, followed by a Steam launch in 2017 and the “Classic” remaster update in 2021, plus many updates and international awards in between. And now we’re entering the next phase - introducing multiplayer to First Strike! The free version for mobile devices has become our ‘nuclear playground’ to develop big updates with additional features that provide new ways to play the game.

  • Play in the “Classic Mode” and keep the different power levels of all the competing nations. Or activate the “Balanced Start” or “Small State Support” modifier that help to even the playing field for a more balanced experience.

About Blindflug: We are an indie game studio founded in 2014 by Jeremy Spillmann and Moritz Zumbühl, based in Zürich, Switzerland and Poznań, Poland. Our mission is simple: We want to create beautiful, imaginative and incredibly fun games, that center around real-world dilemmas. Blindflug also works for innovative clients and helps them find new ways of communication with video games. Like Finance Mission Heroes, the first game in the Swiss-German curriculum that teaches kids financial literacy; Enter - IT Security Training, a puzzle game that tests your feel for digital loopholes; and (re)format Z:, a stealth game about the Swiss Protestant Reformation that tells the story of a similar revolution in a dystopian Zurich.
